So, I ran across an article talking about these new tires that BFG came out with alittle while ago, but I haven't seen anything about them in awile, until just recently. And it seems like everyday they advertised more and more new sizes, and I kept hoping to see some stuff for a 16" rim (and smaller than 37"). And sure enough they came out with a 315/75/16 (sorry 285 doods, thats the smallest these guys run, cept one size smaller but for 17" wheels). Needless to say I like the tire alot and have always been a BFG fan, and to me they look like the Krawlers slightly tamer cousin. The guy said no one anywhere has em yet, but he said I will most likely be the first guy in Charlotte to have these bad boys, so I will update with pics once i get them mounted next week...

 

the tire itself looks really sweet, hopefully you take some pictures and post them up when you put them on your ride.

 

It says M/T, but it looks like a giant A/T.

 

It is the new BFG Mud-Terrain T/A KM2. It is the replacement for the current Mud-Terrain KM. It takes its looks from the Krawler tire that all of the rock crawlers are using. There is a write up about it in this months 4Wheel Drive & Sport Utility Magazine.

That's basically their older M/T with beefier/bigger sidewalls, siped lugs and the tread just a little bit different...very smart idea, I'm really glad they decided to that. I wouldn't say it's a new tire though.

It makes that tire a much more worthy choice for an M/T...still not as sweet as the MTZ's though!!

Man I like it, More aggresive than a A/T, but not a full blown M/T.

 

It says Mud Terrain T/A on the sidewall.

 

I saw those tires on a 4Runner up at my school, they looked so awesome.. I want to get some for the winter when I take the 22"s off.. haha

Yes, those are muds. They're a copy of the Krawlers, with just a wee-bit more siping in the tread. They do look cool, and I would try a set, as soon as my MTR's wear down...which could be a LOOONNG time...

 

These tires are sweet.

If they come out in a smaller size, I will seriously consider them.

It will be interesting to see how these keep up with MT/R's in the rocks.

Hurry up BFG, little trucks need cool tires too!

 

Krawlers suck serious butt in the mud. These are going to be even more useless then the original BFG MT, which are pretty damn useless. Idiots will buy anything with enough advertising though.

 

heh. my bfg mt's have been anything but useless. i refuse to run any other mud tire designed for heavy pavement use. as far as useless goes my SXs are pretty damn useless until they are off the pavement, whereas the BFGs are great on both surfaces. also my bfgs don't sound like a ww2 dogfight on the road like my SXs do.

i don't know about these new M/Ts though. rest assured I won't be buying any. they also look like they might be hairy on off-camber situations due to the orientation of the tread. like a claw or bogger will slip. it looks to me like these are built more for rocks than anything else. maybe some day a YTer will buy some and show us how they perform when aired down through various types of terrain

While I agree that these lugs don't look like they will do as well as the original in the mud they haven't been tested yet, and I haven't seen any reviews for this tire except for the 20-22 size, which i don't think is an accurate test. I don't see why you think anyone who buys this is an idiot.

For example, I might buy them since I think mudding is retarded, but these look like good rock tires. The Krawler is an AMAZING rock tire. The Krawler, however, isn't likely to ever be made smaller than a 35, or at an affordable cost, while this tire is.

i hope they make a 295/75/16 in these, would be ideal or a 305/75/16 (bigger and wider then a 33)

however i doubt those sizes work much
