Gaping a spark plug..1994 SR5 V6 4Runner
It has been awhile since I changed spark plug. I was told at PepBoys I dont have to gap plugs anymore.
I have a traditional NGK BKR5ES plugs. Do I have to gap these? Would you happen to know if it is .032 or .044? I looked at the writeups, but could find it...please help me.

not sure what the spec is off the top of my head. they are set at the factory, and assuming they didnt get damaged in transport/storage they should all be good.
the nice thing about the ngk plugs is they use the little cardboard tube on the tip to prevent the electrode from getting bent.
if you dont have a gapper just make sure they all look like they're the same gap.

I ran into a posting for a 3Vze engine. I think this is what I have. The posting said .032. I measured the current setting on the new spark plug. It so happens to be .032 exactly. Hope it is not coincidence.
thanks MMA_Alex.
