I have no clue, but it looks awesome. If i lived where it didn't rain i just might do that, or what the hell, custom soft top.

Is that got a straight front axle? Where abouts is it located, and how much?

I thought I posted the link to it but then I went back to find it and the post had disappeared. There were 4 pics. It had a soft top and straight axle. IIRC they were oking $20k. It was Craigslist Montana. I"m going to look through my web cache to see if I can salvage/find the other 3 pics.

$20k eh... pffftttt.... Its amazing how people think the money they put into a vehicle = the money they will get out if it.

And it's a 2-door. Even better.

Ok so I combed through my browser cache...good thing Firefox has a plug in that lets you do it quite easily.

The seller only posted 4 pics and one was of the interior. Nothing special. But here are the 3 that he posted of the outside. I may be wrong in thinking it was a straight axle.

Still a nice looking car though and I am positive now he was asking $20k OBO and it was a 2000.

Is or was there any side damage? I'd be wondering if it was a rollover? It just makes me curious why someone would do that to a $20K vehicle? Looks like it would be a fun runner. But usually people only do things like that after they hit a certain point "age wise" or there's been excessive damage. Hell, I'll sell you mine for 20K with only a low 65K miles.

It's a pretty cool hackjob. I'm not sure why anyone would wanna do that to a perfectly good 3rd gen. Looks neat, though. I would MAYBE give em $4000 for it.

I would do it to mine if it got rolled. What i really want to do is chop off the back behind the doors and enclose it. To kind of make it a double cab 4runner.

HAHHAA ... man, I still can't stop laughing... $20k... HAHAHAHAA

What a douche!

The front hubs look like it could have a SFA, but, that side shot looks like IFS again. Who knows. Even if it was a SFA, it wouldn't be worth that much.

Good looking rig nonetheless...
