changing transfer oil question.. help please...

did a search... read most of them... got a lot of mixed up answers... car 92 toyo pickup 4x4 v6... im getting ready to change the transfer case oil and clueless about what type weight... haynes book says 1990 and laster v6 engine Dexron II atf... is this what i get? store told me 75w-90 gear oil??? just did the front and rear diff case with 80w90...

do you have a 5sd or an auto? The A340H auto tranny takes Dexron II ATF obviously. Although i hear you can go ahead and put Dexron III in it without any problems.

80-90 gear oil it also goes by GL 4.

thanks for the help guys.... so for my transfer case 80w-9- gl4/5 gear oil. 3.4qts...
