5VZ-FE Engine - Will 2004 engine (5VZ-FE) from Prerunner 2x4 fit my 2001 4x4 (5VZ-FE)?

I have blown my 2001 Toyota Double Cab (4x4 Auto) Engine and found a used one local. It, however, came out of a 2004 2x4 Prerunner. I don't need anything but the motor, so since it's a 5VZ-FE like mine, my assumption is that it will fit my need and I can't find (searched all over) for specific verification that this is true.

Yes, the engine from the 04 will fit in your 01 as long as you retain your 01 throttlebody.
