Supercharger Limited Edition

Has anyone heard of a limited edition Gen II supercharger? Apparently its a sand blasted silver color. Anyone got any pics of one if they have?

Never heard of it.
Are there any other differences besides the color?

I don't think so

It's on ebay but the seller didn't mention if it was a first gen or second so I asked and he said it was a limited edition second gen. (exactly the same except different color) Just made me wonder cause I have never heard of it.

He has reposted it with "second generation" in the description. But he emailed me saying its a silver limited edition.

If it's silver(gray)...it's a 1st gen. If it's a silver(gray) 2nd gen........it was painted. Nothing special. Won't go any faster...

Ok....I haven't seen anything like this before. It sure looks like a second generation supercharger to me. Never seen one that isn't black though.

Let me know what you think.

It's a 2nd gen. I doubt it's new. Looks like it was sandblasted, painted or something. Notice how the nose gear is still black....

dbullock15,

Ask the seller where he got that supercharger from and why he's selling it. That should clear things up.

Hey, what the heck? that's like a 1.5 gen supercharger...or maybe a "error edition" not "limited edition." Haha...jk. Let us know when you hear from him again.

I'm giving up on finding out the deal on the "1.5 gen" (haha I like that). I emailed him and he always got back to me but each time I asked him what the part # was and he didn't tell me.

I think the black looks better anyways. I'm wondering if its some kinda remanufactured unit. Who knows.

That picture is of a 1st Gen TRD Supercharger. If that is what the guy is selling, pass on it.

For that much money you can get a brand new 2nd Gen from a reputable dealer with no funny business.

G-man:

I beg to differ. Looks like a 2nd gen. Unless they had a design change on the 1st gen since yours??

Did anyone else notice that it said

TRD
USA

On the supercharger. Mine is a 2nd gen and only has a "TRD" stamped on it...

Yea I noticed that. On trd's website it now looks like that but is black in color. They must have changed it at some point. I wonder if anything else is different. It would be nice to know the part # on all of these. They must change it if something changes in the design.
