no droop? and q's on a truck box. ^_^

alright. so ive got this 04 taco prerunner, and its got MAYBE 2 inches of downtravel. im going to assume this is normal, and theres not much i can do about it. its a pretty smooth ride, so i cant complain about much. but if im totally off base and i should have more downtravel, or theres something quick i can do for more travel, lemme know.

2nd topic, the truck box. i had a bed cap on my last truck, so ive gotten used to tossin everything back there and not having to worry about anything. now, im limited to my backseat. i'd like to keep the back seats in my ext cab free for people and stuff, but i need to carry stuff too, jack, tools, tow strap, jumpers, etc etc. sooo, im looking into a truck box. if anyone has one that they overtly like and would suggest, let me know. ive also got a set of 5 lug wheels that i need to get ride of, and hope beyond hope i can trade for a box, or at least the money to get a box. if interested... -_^

thanks for the info. dijlop

Are you referring to the front or rear suspension (or both)?
One way to find out what is going on is to twist the suspension up and see what is limiting it. I use a pair of drive-up ramps to check my '85 suspension out. You can experiment with things like disconnecting the shocks (they may be too short) or sway bar, or other items to see what effect it has:

as of yet ive just rly checked the front. and i jacked it up with a floor jack. i just didnt rly get any motion. i'll continue to work on it and get to know it better. i know its got plenty of compression room, just not much in the way of droop.

as far as the truck box... lol. nada?

i have a truck box that is a little taller than the bed rails and narrower than the bed. the space on the sides is nice to put stuff more securely (the wheel humps in the bed stop stuff from getting out). i keep jumper cables, recovery straps, ratchet straps, gloves, tools, and other random things in there. heres a quick pic
