Cool New Member from Washington State

Howdy everyone!

I want to intorduce myself to the forum. Manuel Pampo here living in WA State and a member of WA TTORA. I had a 95 Tacoma, sold it and got a 02Runner. Darn I shouldav waited for the 03s but I love my 02. Thunder cloud metallic is my color and I have no mods yet. I'm sorta thinking of putting a new exhaust. I had a Flowmaster Delta 40 in my Tacoma and that was a nice muff, not too loud, sounded just right. Any suggestions to what i should put there? Also I will put a lift on it when i wear out the tires. I was thinking of SAWs and longer/taller spring at the back. Suggestions are always appreciated.

Work wise, I'm in the Navy Reserves, recalled for 1 year cause of the 9-11 fiasco. I will be a civilian again this September. I got laid off from my civilian job and so did 95% of us who worked there. Well seems like I will be working Federal Job at the airport when I go back to civilian world.

Well folks, thanks for a wonderful forum. I lok forward to reading excellent messages on here like I do with WA TTORA.

Welcome to the forum Manuel. You don't live to far from me, and several others here who venture up to Greenwater to play every now and then.

There was just a WATTORA event last Saturday:
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/show...&threadid=1140
But a poor turnout. Rob's Taco is pretty nice, and this week 6" higher

For exhaust I have the Magnaflow with 2.25" tubing I got at Stan's Headers in Auburn.
A lot of the guy's on here have been going with the Dynomax muffler lately.
It's quieter than my Magnaflow, but mine is not really that loud, but nice & deep.
Here is a
page I have put together with some sounds on it from various exhausts.
Phil, where's my vid clips
Phil should have some soon of his Dynomax on his 3rd gen 4Runner.

Steve S. has found that the SAW's up front and with Bilstein shocks in the rear with Downey's 2" coils works out real nice for a 3rd gen.
If you ever plan on putting a winch & bumper up front like he has, that suspension setup seems to be the perfect ticket.

Did you happen to work for Boeing? If so, I got the pink last January.
It will be awhile before they call back.

PS, there are also group buys on the forum here on SAW coil overs for the front, and for TJM bumpers.
A lot of 3rd gen folk's have really fixed up their rigs real nice, so you should have plenty of ideas coming in.

Thank You for the welcome. I have seen some of the members rigs and they are awesome. I will have to save up for the lift. I am planning on lifting after the tries wear out. This place is great. I work with a few people from Idaho. I'm in the Navy Reserves and believe me, they have Navy Reservist there. No ships or submarines there but they have Navy people there. Hehehehe. Weird huh?
Well, you ought to come back and visit soon before the "rain" comes back.... Ooops sorry for the "R" word.

Thanks! How much does the Dynomax cost?
I have the deckplate in my garage but I have no tools to use cutting the hole.

Thanks again.

Welcome to the Forum Manuel

I'm only a newbie here myself, and I own an almost stock '90 4Runner (so I probably won't have useful insights) But the group here have been very friendly and helpful.

Hope you enjoy your stay

Thank You for the welcome.
I found a lot of good info so far about 4Runners here.

Next thing for me to learn is how to put a picture of my rig under my name instead of that pic.

You can pick up a dynomax muffler for around $40 thru summit racing and take it to a muffler shop in your area to have it installed. With installation, it should cost under $100. I believe the part number is 17747. Someone correct me if im wrong.
