grill in the way?

i have a manik grill guard on my 2001. i'm planning on getting a 3" suspension lift and a 1" body lift. seeing as the guard is mounted to the frame. does that mean with a body lift i have to lose the guard? or am i thinking wrong
thank you,
zach

Yes, with the body lift you will either have to remove the grill guard, or modify the mounts.

See the web page below for some ideas:

If there is more than 1" of clearance between the top of the hood and the gaurd, than it may be OK left where it is.

Then the mounting brackets will need to be modified. Lots of ideas on the page I posted above. If you think spacer/brackets would work, send over some dimensions and I'll see if something can be fabricated.

To bad Manik's dont bolt to the bumper. your just full of useless info today aren't you? First that kids tire thread, and now this? Why dont you try reading a post, and actually knowing what your talking about. Misinformation is a HUGE frustration and big step backwards for people looking for real advice, either offer up some genuine help or shhhhhh.....

Not trying to be an @$$, but you should know how it feels, when you posted your thread about your heating issues, you don't want a lot of people in there telling you stuff that isnt true. Well guess what? These guys are looking for genuine hlpe just like you are/were. Keep it rolling, and shiny side up (most of the time)
