Towing over 6,000lbs
Well to be more accurate its 6300Lbs. I'll be towing my wifes 98 Wrangler on a 350mi trip on a trailer. We've been trying to sell it for the last 5 months and no one wants it..lol. So we are trading it for a 20' ski boat. The Jeep weighs about 4300lbs and the U-haul transport trailer is 2K lbs. Plus its been over 100* here for the last week. I am kinda looking forward to putting the FJ to the extreme, heavy trailer, running AC, and there are quite a few nice hills on the highway. Pulling the 2K lbs trailer home yesterday empty was a breeze. My old 4Runner struggled like hell in 3rd on the slightest of hills with approximately the same weight.
I'll report back on Monday on how the trip went... Coming back will be lighter... only a 5K lbs boat...lol.

Well the FJ did AWESOME. Better than I had expected, power wise. It pulled that load with ease. I kept the speed at 60 (uhaul trailer has a big sign stating max speed 45, but at that rate it wouldve taken forever) We left at 5am so no AC was needed. Fuel economy on that tank full yielded 16.4mpg. On the trip home pulling the 5,000lbs ski boat (w/no surge brakes as the master cyl. is defective) and it was 101*F. With AC running it cruised up mild hills on the interstate at 70mph and didnt even downshift out of 5th! I was so amazed. The guy I bought the boat from pulled it with a 3/4 ton pickup and said when stopping the boat would push his truck because of the non-working trailer brakes and warned me to be careful stopping. Those massive 4 disc brakes on the FJ had no problems whatsoever. In fact stopping seemed easier than with the car transport on the back which had functional brakes. On the return tank we got 15.1mpg running AC most of the way and cruising 65-70mph.
