Hi all,

Has anyone or does anyone know if a bench seat out of a 1992 Toy 4x4 will bolt into a 1980 1st gen 4x4? It would be great if it were a direct swap but will it require extensive modification?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

Take measurements. The outer rails will probably be 3" too wide on each side. I have got 4Runner seats in my '81 that are too wide, Previous owner used a piece of steel for the front(bolts to stock location and drilled a hole for the rear) need to swap them out for something narrower (Civic)...

I ended up just getting the bench and placed it in today. As it turned out, I won't be able to mount into existing holes but a little drilling and using some nuts and bolts, it looks like I'm going to get it to work.
