rack cross bar light clamps???

I am wanting to stick a couple of lights on top of my factory rack cross bars. I remember seeing something that someone did on this site using Thule or Yakima Q(???) brakets. I have looked and have not been able to find them. I remember him saying that they worked really well with the oval bar. Anybody know what I am talking about???

Why not just drill through the bars that are up there to mount them?

Bolt is a little too big in my opinion and I do put ladders and stuff up there and when the bar sags it will not be able to expand and contract like it is supposed to and i do not want it to crack or break in the winter.

Well if it was not for that winter part i would say it would be fine. If you drill int he middle it would not hurt it as that is not very structual anyways but the winter could have some other affects i am not used to (from Texas, bet you could not guess)

One of these might work for you, I have no first hand experience with either.

This is hypothetical but I think you want the Yakima light bracket (part# 07075) which mounts to the load warrior but use a Yakima Mighty Mount 24H to fit factory bars. I assumed it was the '99 4runner in your sig you were trying to fit.
