Saw a 1998 Tacoma pickup for sale. 160,000 mi. 3.4L, 5-speed, ext. cab. Asking price is $2000.00. I left two messages, and hope the owner contacts me.
So, blown engine, bad transmission? The truck looks real clean from the pics that I saw. I'm a technician, so fixing it won't be a problem. I hear that it should be pretty easy to find a 3.4 if thats what it needs.

it's probably a 2WD. and it might not pass smog.

 

OR a scam. I saw on on CL a while back, emailed and got a "sale will be handled by 3rd party and cashiers check the truck is actually in Texas" BS reply. It might as well have been in Nigeria

EDIT: Finally got a hold of the person selling it. It was sold on Sunday. I could have had that truck if he answered the phone when I called him. Oh well, I didn't bother asking what was wrong with it.
