for 650, ▓▓▓▓, can't go wrong there. i'd be more inclined to if it was an 85, but still, if the motor is as good as he says, its probably worth it. pull the top off and cruise

probably a much better investment than the other kinds of ▓▓▓▓ cars you see selling for that cheap

If it runs... for sure I'd by it. Heck, if it didn't I'd just use that fact for leverage and by it even cheaper. Seems like a great start for a project truck.

Plus the seller claims it goes up by $200 every year. So in 3 years, it will have basically paid for itself... even if you just let it rot in the driveway.

Not something that would be out of the question in the Midwest.

If i was an 85 i would own it.

It has been for sale for over a month.
My main concerns are smoking of the engine, frame quality and where it is leaking gas...

But it does me no good as a parts truck since i only own a 3rd gen...

Anyone know how extensive a fuel line swap can be?

Blue book goes up 200 every year on a truck that does not run?? I have a few late 70 and early 80's models sitting in the weeds that shoud be worth a gold mine then....

If the motor is good..and it is a 4cyl...I'd buy it for that. I seriously doubt that little blue book claim, though.

The updated price is now $625.

I'll see what it looks like in person tomorrow.

yeah i think he was just refering to 1st gen 4runners retaining there value. but yeah i think his choice in words sounds like bull ▓▓▓▓▓.

keep yall posted.

Depends on what you intend to do with it. The extensive rust and the major sag in the rear end are not good selling points. Make sure the frame isn't rusting out along with the body.

The truck better suited as a parts truck.

if the frame is solid and the floors are good it looks like a sweet deal to me.

Seems like it would be easy enough to get your money back even if it turned out to be a lemon... I would buy it...

Diddo on the frame. It sounds like his price is not so firm too. The motor alone could be worth at least hald the price if it runs well.

My thought exactly.

So, you run it for a while 'til the body falls off. Then you have still have a motor you throw in something else that cost you less with no rust. ??? Possibilities of all kinds.
