Can I Flat Tow the FJ

Hi,

I would like to take my FJ along with my motorhome can I flat tow the FJ I have seen yes and no on this it seem that with the transfer case in neutral, I can push it around by hand this way, that flat towing should be OK are there any of you with the know how to answer this. Perhaps an oil problem in the chain drive transer maybe. I can use some help on this I do not want to cause any damage.

This is the Automatic 5 spd with overdrive
the transfer case has neutral and also 2wd
I have been told the transfer case is chain drive.
If some one has a way to get a drawing of the transfercase it would be a help
If you need more details on the FJ let me know I want to figure this out.

I do not want to leave my favorite toy at home while I travel come on guys help me out.

Thanks

Tom

Hi Tom, and welcome to YotaTech.

I saw this very same question pop up over on Mud's forum in the FJ Cruiser section awhile back.
