Question why my compressor only takes 6oz

About half of one can is all that fits(R134)? The clutch engages and I can see movement in the site glass, so it seems to be flowing. But after adding about half a can, the low side pressure reads at 60-70psi and nothing else will go in. Every component is new and has been flushed. Any thoughts out there?

Did you pull a vacuum first so there was no air in it?

Yep, pulled vaccum for an hour and let it sit. No leaks.

it can take forever for those little cans to be sucked in. be patient. try to warm the can up some by setting it in hot water, or resting somewhere in the engine compartment where it will get warm. bubbles in your site glass mean u r undercharged. with a converted system i charge it until just about all the bubbles are gone. try to leave a little trace of bubbles. means you have room for the stuff to expand.
