Is this Toyota factory coolant?

Never bought some at the dealer, so I don't know what the bottle looks like. Thanks!

Wow. Thanks guys. It must be some sort of Toyota copyright thing where they can't show the name on the website...I dunno.

In any case, is $20 per bottle shipped a good price?

Hey, who blanked out all the Toyota logos on the bottles? But yes, those are Toyota products. I know because I work at Toyota!

What's the difference between the $20 Toyota coolant and the $9-10 bottles you buy everywhere else?

Quality, additives, formula, and lastly price.

Toyota red coolant doesn't have harmful silicas, and will not corode Aluminum like green will.

I just flushed my system and when i emptyed it it was green so i put it back in there. Should i drain it again and change to Red? Will that cause any problems with the differnt types as you can't get every drop out?

You should try to use either just one or the other. I would prefer Toyota coolant because I've always stuck with factory stuff (except for factory oil. expensive!). It is not a good idea to mix green with red, because they actually separate (they don't like each other???). So if you are changing to red, it is a good idea to get the old green stuff flushed out, not just drained out.

Toyota has been cracking down on vendors that are not Toyota Dealers selling products as genuine Toyota parts.

Neither will most "green" ones.
If it says aluminum safe (and most do), then it's ok to use.

Nothing particularly special about the Toyota badged one.
Y'all are talking kinda like Toyota makes it and they don't.
It's rebadged.

I'm going to go look for the red coolant, definitely now. I just got a 3 core radiator & have to change coolant anyway. Someone posted once that NAPA has pink (?) coolant for Toyota engines, I may start there for it.
But this brings up a good question....who makes Toyota OIL? I asked the dealer when I was there the other day and he didn't know, I couldn't believe it. New Toyotas would ship from the factory with "Toyota oil", right? But who *makes it?
Mitzi (who asks dumb questions that only matter to me)

Mobil Oil is the supplier.

Service Oriented Chemicals
Genuine Toyota Long Life Antifreeze Coolant, with its distinctive red appearance, provides maximum protection without the use of harmful silicates. This formula is extremely durable and because of its compatibility with non-metallic materials, it helps extend the life of water pump seals.
Genuine Toyota Long Life Antifreeze Coolant is the same high quality red fluid that's found in all new Toyotas. Its unique formulation was developed exclusively to meet the specific requirements of your Toyota engine. Other benefits to using Toyota Long Life Antifreeze Coolant are:

Will not clog radiators from silicone "gelling."

Will not corrode aluminum surfaces like coolants that contain borate.

Helps protect water pump seals.

Pressurized Fuel Injector Cleaner and Air Conditioner Freshener are two of the products that are available during your service visit. These require a Certified Toyota technician to install the product. Please consult with your dealership Parts or Service representative for specific application information.

Thanks for the quick answer. I've asked so many people about the oil and even the guys at the dealership parts counter didn't know. Mobil, huh? Interesting.
The Toyota coolant's definitely going in...not so sure about the oil though.
Thanks.

Mobil is first fill for several Car Manufactures. That is what they roll off the line with. Use what ever oil you like but make sure it meets the specs for your vehicle.
