Build up question

I am very new to the board and I was curious if it would be inappropriate for someone like me to start a build up thread in the trucks section. I am certainly not a car mechanic, but I can wrench a little bit and was thinking that starting a thread would be beneficial for me to keep track of things with the project. Also I am sure I will provide amusement while I bumble around with this thing Best case scenario some fellas will take a peak at the post and offer advice or criticisms.

Let me know, thanks.

Just got an 85 extended cab with a 22re. Its pretty much stock and in decent shape with the exception of the motor. I plan to start there and work my into the axels and suspension after that. I have another DD so I'll have ample time, its just a matter of gathering resources and doing a thorough job. So far I am having a blast.
