So, no linking trips from other forums? I checked I didn't see a Rule #18.

That is where you get sent if you have a link to UY. So, in my planning thread, I had a "details" link that linked to the actual planning thread on UY. As you can see from my first post in my Pismo thread, there was in no way any kind of recruitment going on. Last night I discovered that if you hit that link it was changed to www.xn--74haaaaaaaaaaa.com

I have since then fixed the link to work, but am still pissed that it was tampered with. People link to other forums for trips and info all the time, apparently UY is the exception. I even went out of my way in the beginning to make it a hyperlink rather than a copy and paste of the url, that way the actual name for UY wasn't anywhere in there. It is no secret that many members are on both sites and many other sites. Many of these members have no grief with either site. I say as long as there is no recruitment like rule 17 states, I don't see the big deal.

Seems to work just fine in this thread:

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/show...t=other+forums

If that is the case though, I think thats slightly childish. I wonder how many people have been brought here by linking from other sites?
