Took the top off today

Took the top off today. Downey 2" Leafs and some BJ spacers are on order, to lift that saggy butt and lift the front end a little. Then she'll be on the trail.

I almost took the top off mine today, but we're expecting rain for the next 2 days. Also, I don't have any place to put the top right now for storage.

im about to put mine back on since we are going to Tellico next weekend and the weather forcast is Thunderstorms. Plus i want to be able to go through mud and not worry about ruining my interior. My interior is really nice for an 88.

I am seriously thinking about the bikini for her. Not much rain here in AZ, although it is monsoon season soon. Don't much plan on ever putting the top back on. Gonna go to the Army store this week and pick up an RPG can that I can bolt to the floor in the rear for lockable storage.

when I saw the picture I thought I was looking in my own driveway . same fade on the paint too, although yours has zero rust from what I can see, Im jealous.

now I know what mine will look like sans top. you may have inadvertantly talked me into it.

make sure and post more pics when and if you acquire a bikini and/or soft top for it. I would very much like to see it.

I'm Just West of Gilbert & Just south of Broadway. Right by Mesa High school. My Downey Leaf packs just arrived on Friday, I'm gonna go for the bikini top too at some point. Having problems with the Hubs today while trying to get the CV Axles replaced. Not ready for wheeling yet - but will be soon. I also have BJ spacers to go on.

Thanks, it was alot of work, still not finished.
For a temp. solution for your saggy ass install some Pro-Comp add a leafs. They'll level it out and give you a better ride because your rear won't be riding on the bumpstops any longer. Summit had them for around $30.00 when I bought them a few years back.
