dont have a rear tube but a front tube...
Before I added the hellas and painted the showing white part (basically right after installation):

After making it look better:

EDIT: mine was custom built by PORC in Kennesaw, GA, for somewhere around $400-$500. I then bought it used for around $275 and did some fabrication to make it fit on my truck (different mounting system)

It's a frame extension, in my book. Home-made, strong welds, no bolts, nah goin' nowhere. Field tested & approved. Would support the weight of my truck and yours, easily. PO's work, but I'm damn proud of it, don't care if you do think it's ugly.

Old one, nah. But the new ones are fabbed by my bud who owns a offroadin shop, and he has a couple already made. Actually got mine for free since the runner was the test truck... Makes matchin rear bumpers, and can have a swing away spare tire carrier added on too. Actually, he made all the armor I've ever owned (sliders, both those bumpers, gas tank armor, tcase armor, oil pan armor, ect). If yer interested I can give ya a number.

And that new bumper is very, very, very strong. I've slaughtered a few deer, ran over trees, and just recently locked bumpers with a bud's jeep ARB bumper and won hands down (snapped bolts, and bent the holy hell outta it) without anything more than rubbing off some of line-x. Guess it's all in the angles lol...

Not to steal your thunder but this thread has been posted several times. There's also one with about 50 pages of pictures of Pirate. No reason to reinvent the wheel.

Dave'z Offroad Perofrmance Front

Marlin Crawler Rear

Both extremely durable, but not too heavy. I like the added clearance on both ends, but I think I'll be adding a stinger and shackle mounts to the front one.
