I posted this in another thread but it was in the wrong forum (the 84-85 forum, mine's an 86).

I pulled a stupid and left my oil filler cap off and lost it somewhere. I've been to all the normal auto parts stores but all of the filler caps I've tried from them are too small.

Did Toyota make two different sizes? My engine is completely stock. One of the auto parts stores (but only one) had an option in the computer for a US or Canadian model. I've got the Canadian one on order, but just wondering if anyone is familiar with this issue.

 

You could always check the classifieds. There are always guys parting out complete trucks and Runners in there.

Check a junkyard, there should be a toyota cap that fits.

 

Thanks guys. Yeah, I'll probably do the junkyard option, but I was just curious as to why none of the so-called "replacement" caps would fit.
