hey hey, i got 20/22 in the city depending how i drive with a 3in BL and
31x10.5 AT tires... so im not kidding about the fuel efficiency.

But, is it just my town, or does it seem that the LAW is anti non american makes. I was drivin' next to a chevy truck and i was the one pulled over .

 

I got stopped one becuase of the "faded" rear tail lights (the red lenses faded to a light pink)...

After 15 min of questioning (I thinkthey were looking for someone else) they let me off with a warning.

 

Last time i got pulled over (i was in a funeral procession nonetheless) the cop asked me if i wanted to buy his 87 4runner....

 

Not a bit. Cops dont look twice at my 4runner, that's what I love about it. They probably just think it's another mom on the way to soccer practice After years of driving a slammed, loud, flashy MR2, then a slightly less slammed, slightly less loud but far more flashy BMW...the 4runner is quite stealth. Never got pulled over in my Tacoma either.

I think it's more about the way you drive though... My buddy drives a beige station wagon and still has more tickets than anyone I know because he drives like an idiot.

 

The more flashy and blingy the more attention you will get , form other people and the Po Po .. Ive had flashy before and got stoped alot now ive got just a plain old truck and haven't been stoped in it yet

well my PU is one of the only clean 90 body's in Duluth, MN.
Not to mention my mods, Brush gaurd, roof light bar, billet grill, BOLD toyota emblems, and fresh coat of MUD.

o yes the po here in cali loves my truck, they pulled me over one time and gave me a ticket for my exhaust being too loud. i have a flowmaster 40 series muffler and thats it! GRRRRRRRRRRRRR

 

I would have laughed in the cops face if he said my exhaust was too loud.

Like any cop has any clue what 'LOUD' really is....LOL!

Owned a 1st gen DSM through the '90s before the import craze really took off so the cops didn't really look at it and bother me just because but with a 150 ponies added and with FATF breaking the car started to get noticed.

My truck seems pretty invisible and I've only had one ticket in 4 years (plus only 190hp helps ) but in the Eclipse from '94-'01 I was pulled over 20+ times and got 14 speeding tickets (speeding only and all were on the highway) ,lost my license twice but I survived it all pretty well and I'm still with the same insurance company.

I miss some of the attention of a flashier vehicle and of course the power and racing at the strip but owning the Runner I stay out of trouble and spend a whole lot less money and I only open the hood of the Runner once a month to check the oil.

 

ive got a flashy flashy loud loud tahoe and its only been pulled over once for tinted front windows.

though one morning i did walk out of the house and police had it surounded...

My 92' 4Runner loves the cops i got pulled once at like 9pm cuz i went over a speed "hump" at seriously 15mph the cop said i was trying to jump it. Went to court cuz he charged me with reckless endangerment which i mean its 9pm in a parking lot with no body in it and i was going the speed limit. The judge laughed in his face and said this is the biggest waste of time ive had all day and threw out the case. The cops are always looking at me because im only 1 of maybe 5 lifted 4Runners in the area (everyone else has "domestic") hehe another time i got pulled for going 60 in a 55 on the freeway but got a warning because the cop didn't have his radar on just wanted to harass me. Other than that I feel pretty stealth in the Runner.
