main bearing - thrown rod

1995 4runner - v6 ..i am almost postive i have spun a a main bearing..but i could have thrown a rod, now i havepriced parts for both problems....but if i build a rebuild kit, i have heard several estimates...the one i am asking about is.....the machining,,...what all would have to be done? my labor will be done free...so what should cost for this be???? any ideas..

engine still starts, and it will move if i want it to, lol...but i just dont know what to do...

if it starts and runs i dont think you threw a rod. Usually that comes with a hole in your block. Welcome to YT and good to see another TN guy here. Sorry i cant shed any more light on your situation

if you tossed a main....that might need to be machined/polished, but as for the cylinders, you could probably get away with a hone on those.
