Pickin one up from a seller

Need to know how wide / long (front to cowl) it is so I can figure our how to transport it.

Im currently NOT planning on taking my truck so thats why Im asking...

If I do take the truck - as far as I recall the hood SHOULD fit in the back of a gen1 4Runner with the seats down - right?

the 84-88 hoods might not be quite the same as the 89-94 but close enuff for what I need to measure... thanks

BTW - we were thinkin of a Subaru XT as well - hows yours?

 

i love that car , i wanted a 5 speed turbo , so i had to shop around a little but it was worth it.

It looks like it will fit in the back of my 1992 (MKII) Golf... opening is like 44" cross angle...

The Golf hood is actually slightly larger

I ferget how MINI the 83-88/89 mini trucks really were.

I was spec'ing a Forrester and realized it was SMALLER (body wise) than the Gen1 4Runner.

Was going to get one, then decided to wait for the 08 MY as there will be a white "sport". Leather can be added via Katzkins cheaper than dealer - plus then I can get grey leather... (Kathy veto'd black leather -I dont really care for the Tan interior)

Of course if we wait for the 08/09 MY - a TDi Golf might be available (this is a DD car - planning to keep the 4Runner
