Alternator Belt

Hey all, Alternator belt broke and i'm wondering how to put a new one on. 94 4cyl 5 speed. What angles do i access, where do i start... and so on. Thanks! Just starting to get my hands dirty with cars.

Check this out: http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b.../3generato.pdf

It's not too hard of a job more of a pain. You just need to loosen up the two bolts on the alternator so you can make it pivot to get the new belt on. Make sure to put some pressure on the new belt (I use a crowbar against the alternator) or it will squeal like a stuck hog.

Nope you won't have to drain or unattach anything. Just loosen up the alternator. Even if you were taking the alternator completely off, you don't have to do anything with the power steering pump. You would have to remove the lower radiator hose to get the alt out, though.
