3.0 water pump recommendations

Ok, searched and found nada. need an idea of what brand water pumps are best. going to do the t-belt and need to replace the water pump, and pulleys.
any suggestions or links to the whole kits would be helpful. I know oem is prefered, but any others that people can recommend, cause I'm always trying to save money. but upgrading is prefered.

Aisin is the OEM water pump. See the link, or if it does not work, search ebay for it an Aisin water pump.

OEM. The oil cooler fitting on aftermarket pumps is a joke.

From my own experience I tried aftermarket napa parts and had to replace the water pump and thermostat with o.e.m. because of leaks with the new parts from napa so I got the factory parts and not a single drop from anywhere. It did suck having to tear it down twice also half a day shot.

Yeah, they last a very long time...comparatively. Good choice.

Just a quick questions. Dont want to thread jack..

how long is a water pump usually good for?
I have been running mine for roughly 120,oookms. I will have a chance to replace it next month as the engine will be torn down. Worth it?

If you keep your coolant changed out once every year or two and don't overheat it, the original WP should be good for close to 200k miles. BTW, if you overheat it, expect a HG to go within one year.

A more appropriate change would be the knock sensor wire. First thing to go. Double check your timing belt tensioner pulleys as well. Mine were toasted.

t-belt was done under 5,000kms ago
Truck has never overheated except when the hg went
Coolent is fresh, again under 5,000kms

realisticly, only the top end of the engine is getting taken apart.

Were the heads & block decked when the HG was done? If not, you'll probably blow another HG...
