Exclamation ~4" Lift In Back = Nasty Noise In Drive Line

So I went and got me some free coils from a jeep at 4wp today. I figured I'd go ahead and try that mod of putting coils ontop of the left pack.

Well, I forget what type of jeep they came off of (CJ?) but they're the 14" tall ones, alot stiffer than TJ coils (so probably 250# coils), and they're about 5-6" in diameter.

My leafs were sittin totally on the overload spring, and from the top of the pack to the frame, there was only about 7.5-8" of space, so with these coils I was hoping to get right at 10-11" of space between the leaf and frame.

Now I had origionally planned to use the smaller TJ rear coils (12" 150#), but these were all I could find (for free). I didnt actually think I was gonna be able to get em on, but I took off the rear shackles, dissed the shocks from the rear, and was barely able to compress em in over the stoppers.

Anyhoo, I got em in, and to my surprise it sat a lot higher than I though. I measured 12.5-13" from the leafs to the frame now.

The back now sits a good 4" or so higher than the front. I think it looks pretty cool.

But... I guess now with so much lift in the back, the driveshaft (or whatever it is. I caint seen nothin noticable) is extended a bit too far. When accelerating in 2nd gear, or let off the gas while in any gear, I get a really nasty vibration and sound from somewhere in the driveline. I caint notice nothin thats plain to the eye, so I'm wonderin what yall think the issue could be.

Yeah, I defintely either plan to cut the coils down a good 2" or so, or find me some smaller TJ rear coils, but it'd definitely be nice to know what that sound is. Kinda nerve wracking...

Badda bump. Its got me stumped what it could be. Looked again at the drive shaft. Seems to be extended a bit excessively at the slip shaft close to the tcase...

Hmm... Wonderin if takin out my blocks would be better/easier than either cuttin those springs, or taken em out and swappin shorter ones in there once I find em...
