hey guys, I was wondering im gunna be selling my 95 4runner to upgrade to the 96 or newer to have the 3.4 engine to supercharge it. I know the 96 and newer 4x4 tacomas with the extended cab came with the 3.4 v6 but does the non extened cab come with the v6 or just the 4 banger. I dont think they maded them but if they did that would be one hot little trtuck, with the supercharger on it, it would fly. thanks guys, oh and also which do u think would be faster, a tacoma v6 5psd supercharged extended cab or the 4runner v6 5spd superchargeed? thanks guys.

 

There are a few V6 Single Cabs out there, you could order them that way for a while, but as far as I know, that is no longer the case.

 

I may be wrong but I havent seen any 98 or newer std cabs with the 3.4L. and I have only seen a few 97's. Hopefully towards the end of this year Ill be looking for a wrecked truck that I can steal the motor assy out of..by that time superchargers should be dirt cheap. that should satisfy my power needs.

you know I think u are right about the s-runner's I forgot about those but I think he was talking about 4 wheel drives

 

I don't think that the S-Runner is even available anymore...
