Top off..... uh oh

what happens if you break the seal when you take your top off?? i haven't taken the top off yet but I'm scared because i have heard its very easy to break the seal.. anyone got any tips or know where you can buy extras? thanks

Undo the bolts, take off the top, and dont' worry about the seal.

Why do you say that? Because the seals are very resiliant? That's what I understand from other threads I've read.

Taking the top off and breaking the seal isn't like loosing your verginity. You can get it back by puting it back on and replacing the bolts. I go most of the year with my top off and have never had a leak.... even thru Katrina. I only put about 6 bolts in it when it is on too.
