Easiest way to remove a "bamachem" spacer?
My current front setup is tundra coils/tokico srtuts w/ one "bamachem" spacer. This matched up perfectly with my rear when I had 891's, but now I have some lower sitting rear Downey coils. Is there any easy way to remove the spacer (maybe I could lower the strut assembly and slide it off?) or am I going to have to just take the whole thing out? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

you might be able to get the suspension to flex down enoug with the sway bar unhoked, but I had to take the lower ball joint bolts aout and pull the strut all of the way out to get at mine.

depends on how long your studs are. to be honest i think you are going to have to pull it out.
I cant stress this enough but be careful if you have to disconnect the spindle from the lower BJ, and not strip the bolts, I dont think i stripped them but my runner right now is in the shop, i had a near close call as 3 bolts are missing from both sides, 2 from one side and 1 from the other, make the lower BJ a last resort.

depends on how long your studs are. to be honest i think you are going to have to pull it out.

Just think of what would happen if it came apart on the highway. You could have killed yourself or worse yet an innocent family. Please be careful with this type of work. Just because you can use a ratchet doesn't mean you should.

those 4 bolts dont require alot of torque from what i remember. IIRC, they only called for 13 (or was it 23..? a low # regardless) lbs. i was kinda
myself about it and torqued it down to spec w/ proper loctite. no issues so far. perhaps the impact might have stripped em out? dont forget that the size of the wrench needed (14mm in this case i think?) is also an indicator of how much torque is needed. breaking loose w/ an impact..sure, but i wouldnt advise bolting it back in w/ the full power of an impact gun...

and i want my truck back. plus soon ill be doing a Camburg or TC LT kit and wont need those bolts depending on what kinda lower BJ those kits use
