scion facotry radio into my 97 4runner?
I was browsing ebay and google looking for factory like radios/cd/mp3/xm ready units. I see a lot of these scion radios like this. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SCION...QQcmdZViewItem
I haven't even taken my dash apart on this truck yet, I am not opposed to hacking the harness up but plug and play would be awesome.

Yeah, there are a handful of members here that have done that very swap.
One member in particular comes to mind, SLC97SR5. If he doesn't chime in on this thread, PM him and he'll send you a pic of his setup.
Oh and I've seen those HUs go for a lot less on Ebay. I've seen them as low as $30 shipped.

That was the only auction that had picture of the rear.. in case it helped identify things.

Well shoot I guess this idea kinda sucks....
$30-40 for a scion radio
$100 for a terk xm kit with adapter/receiver thing
$200 for the aux-pod thing to connect ipods harness, and other Harness
approx - $350
Or i can keep my stereo $0
use the sportscaster xm receiver $20 complete
and use the bilkin ipod charger/fm modulator $20
all of which i already have and works well enough for my ears.

I would still like to have a radio with XM, MP3, and Ipod plug in (even headphone jack style) that has a no-bling factory style to it.
Also needs to be reasonably priced - I don't need some crack head busting my windows and crow baring the dash again.
