trekmaster discontinued?

ive decided to take the plunge today and order a lift for my truck. decided to go with the ome 3" springs and tokico trekmaster shocks. however when i phoned a local store and gave them the proper part numbers for the shocks they informed me that the trackmasters have been discontinued for the 3rd gen. i just checked out the SS#7 page and noticed the kit now comes with oem toyota shocks so i guess its safe to say its true.

now my question is whats a good alternative to the tokicos? anyone ever tried kyb monomax shocks? bilstein?

ajusa.com will not have any until the end of February...I tried ordering some there. Look on ebay and see if you can find some by Motorsports Direct. Their number is 800-245-1001. I just called and ordered some. They have about 28 struts and 28 shocks left. You can get the set for $220 in stock and ready to ship.

The seller's name is jdmwerks13

I bought a set from him a few months back. Typically, he sells them for about $200.00 a set. Shipping was free when I bought mine.

I will get them in when everyone else does as well, but we will not be using them in the lift kits anymore.

We have a far superior shock now. A true Heavy Duty Shock. Not stiffer, not at all, but stronger to really take the abuse.

I just found 2 Tokico Trekmasters from a smaller autoparts shop in TX. - $64.50 each -free shipping and no tax. They have 2 left PM me if you want their number.

And from what I've found - they are not discontinued - just back ordered.
