Possibly buying a 4-runner
Hey all, first time poster!
I am looking at buying a 4 runner. I am going to check one out tomorrow. Its a 89 w/ 256,000 miles (approx) and a rebuilt 3.0 with 1,500 (comes with 6yr/60,000 mile warranty). I had a few questions about this truck in particular. The reason the engine has been rebuilt is because it has sucked in water. What should I look for as far as other problems this may have caused? Also, how long can I expect the transmission to last with 256,000 on it? It is an automatic, and probably the original tranny. Anything else to look for?
