well im pretty new to the 4 wheeling game, but heres what i got.

i have an 86 4runner. i bought it with a rebuilt engine (GARBAGE), 3" suspension and 3" body lift w/ some nice 36" tires. well this 4cy isnt cutting it anymore for me, it lacks any kind of power...and it just started knocking (so much for the rebuild )

im used to working on the ford 5.0 that you would find in mustangs so i think for me it would be easier to that into my 4runner.

if anyone would chime in on this with tips and/or pointers i would appreciate it. or some links. i tried searching for the 5.0 swap but i couldnt find anything.

i already have a donor car i can use with a fresh v8 and t5 in it. all i would modify to the engine would just be maybe an air filter and exhaust

Dammit Dude, I read his post and I knew I read another post about this. I did some quick searching, but I didnt find it or overlooked it. Good find.

I know I remember seeing another write up on the net, not on a forum. It was a very detailed write up. He even detailed costs and everything. I tried looking for that one tonight, but I still haven't found it yet. I thought I remember his website being something like happytrucks or gaytrucks or something like that. I am not trying to be stupid. That is what I remember. I will keep looking though.
