temp/heater?

This could be a really stupid question but i thought i would ask anyways. As soon as i lay off the gas, at a stop light for instance, my heater stops blowing heat immediately. The temp gauge doesn't change and i have a new t-stat. This will happen anytime i idle. It wouldn't be that annoying if it wasn't -20 Celsius here right now. Thanks

Sounds like your blower motor is slowing down at idle rpm. Could be many causes like weak battery, bad regulator inside alternator. What happens to your headlights at night when you stop at a light do they dim?

the wifes integra was doing the same thing last week, I changed the stat, what a pleasure that was, and that did nothing, I bled all the air out of the cooling system, now it kicks ass. Just a thought. Park the truck up a hill, remove rad cap slowly and carefully, run engine and add coolant till it stops bubbling, or at the shop we tap into the heater core hose for a coolant flush, and we add the water into the system at the core and pump it out at the rad cap, that also eliminates all air in the system by pushing it out.
