Speedo/Tach cluster ??

I have a 94 22re 5-speed and want to upgrade to the gauge cluster with the tachometer.

Is there a difference between the clusters from a v6 or a 22re or are they the same?

Also does it make a difference if the donor cluster is from a automatic transmission truck?

Is the tach marked in any way to let me know if a cluster is for a 4 or 6?

If there is a differnce is there a way to tell if the tach is from a v6 or 4cyl?

I know that I will need to change my oil sending unit or risk burning out the oil guage and that also I need a cluster designed to use a electic drive speedo but any other help is wanted.

Try using the search. A lot of this information has been covered before. Search for "gauge cluster" or something like that.

I know there were issues with the oil pressure showing up as too low when people swapped in the gauge clusters with the tach, but I cant remember exactly what was said.

Try to get a cluster out of a 4cyl. You're tach will be off if you get one out of a 6. Not sure about auto and manual, but I would try to stick to the same. My '91 v-6 manual redlines at 5800. I just upgraded my '88 22re to a 22rte cluster that redlines at 5600. You'll have to change out the oil pressure switch also. Hope this helps.
