Driveshaft pushing into gas tank...

so it has gotten worse now, before, i would occasionally hear a little bump or clang and the driveshaft would graze the tank skid, now it full fledhed pushes into it and i can hear it and feel it. im talking like hard contact... what can I do to elimiate this issue? shorten the panhard bar? it didnt do it before so I dont know what got bent, the control arms looks straight and it drives straight...

Help?

not that i can see, ill take a pic of how much hots tomorrow if i can, it rubs a 8" ling area? it suprised me. i am thinking that somrhting moved and maybe shortening the panhard bar might help move it away? i dont know and dont want to mess something else up too.

is it rubbing on your slip yoke? my SY grease fitting got sheared off from hitting the tank skid. i think it only hits on a certain angle of articulation, since it rarely happens to me. i just ended up notching out part of the skid for clearance..no problems now

Either you need to modify your tank skid or get a shorter bar.

It should only happen under drivers side stuff. That is when the bar is going horizontal (and longest) to push the axle towards the drivers side, and thus the driveshaft into the tank.

I have had this problem, but, after enough banging of the driveshaft, the tank has a big dent in it, and now rarely hits.
