I'm having the same problem. I'll be working on it tomorrow, i'll chime in if I find anything. I'll also be watching this thread for some suggestions tomorrow.

check your oil! Ive seen a new(er) "05" explorer do this do to vac line issuse
also if gas is in the oil change your plugs they will be fouled!

what kind of vac line issues? Because when I changed the oil back in Sept. (had just bought the 86 4Runner 22RE), there was a lot of gas in the oil. I just figured the PO was retarded.
I haven't started the truck in about a month, so i'll have to check the oil again.

btw, i'm not trying to jack this thread, just learning from it.

yeah i just changed the damn oil, i still cant get the ????er to run either.

THE VAC ISSUE,UMM... I'LL HAVE TO CHECK... I WASNT THE TECH WORKING ON IT
