Hey guys,
I've recently decided to lift my truck after seeing it slightly raised at the tire shop the other day. I was looking to lift it maybe 1-2".
My question is that I was thinking of going with some Downey shackles for the rear but was wondering if cranking the torsion bars would raise the front enough to match the rear? Also I imagine that I'll need some extended shocks correct. All input is appreciated!

 

you could get some ball joint spacers for the front from http://www.sdori.com/SDORI_Products.html or from 4crawler website, but i wouldn't go cranking your torsion bars due to a rough ride and causes them to sag even faster. or you could get some new torsion bars from Downey. and your shocks should be ok because i don't think your gonna need extended shocks for flexing out if u only have a 2 wheel drive.

Now the I'm having a hard time deciding. It looks like for the same price I can get a fabtech 3 1/2" lift for the same price as the 1-2" lift. Although I only have 27X8.50-14 tires on it so the 3 1/2" lift may be too much and cause it to look awkward. Let me know what you think please.

 

cranking the t-bars shouldnt be an issue if you're only doing 1-1.5", and just get extended shackles in the rear. Just make sure to get the front end aligned after cranking the t-bars. If you do the install yourself except the alignment you should be able to do it for a little over $100.

with 1-1.5" of lift you shouldnt need new shocks, and typically the shortest "lift shocks" sold are 2" over stock length.

at 3.5" it would look really strange with those tires.
