As you may already know, all FJ buyers get a scale model FJ from Toyota. So, I have been on a mission to find out if the SE owners will be getting TRD models like their real one. I have been told numerous stories by the goot peeps at 1-800-GO-Toyota and thought I'd get something in writing from them:

I recently purchased a 07 TRD Special Edition FJ Cruiser and I was told by my dealership I would be receiveing a 1:18 scale replica of my new FJ from Toyota. However, I have contacted 800-GO-TOYOTA three times and have been told that 1) There is no TRD Special Edition models available, 2) There is a TRD Special Edition model and it will be sent, 3) All TRD SE owners will receive a model Rod Millen's Baja race FJ Cruiser.
Can someone please let me know what to actually expect, if anything.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

I have also seen these got for $500 on Ebay which is pretty amazing.

I called Toyota and ask about it and they said I would get some paperwork in the mail that I would have to have and then call them back to get the

Ummm... I have an account with Toyota Financial and have still yet to be even offered a model. I tried signing in to the link OFRD GRL just left and after signing in there with my VIN there is no offer of a model. What the heck are you guys talking about?

call them from the contact info on toytaowners site , they will get it all set up , if they havent already given them all away. also , if you finaced your vehicle from toyota finacial you might also receve a free gift, i did , and had my option of several different gifts, watches , coffee maker, and luggage.

That's crap... My dealer is probably playing with my model and drinking my coffee... Grrrr...
Anyhoo, I had registered my rig and signed up at all the toyota sites and had yet to hear of this offer until I called 800-GOT-OYOT (468-6968). They did get my registration done for this promo model and it should be at my house in 8-10 weeks or business days. I don't remember which, but it's coming.

I just got off the phone with Go-Toyota and they said the TRD SE *gifts* will be available by the end of June.
The rep wouldn't say what the *gift* was... she would not confirm it was a scale SE model nor anything else.
BTW, if you ordered one for your non SE FJ, they said you should have it by 9 Feb and if you don't, you should call them then.

We got ours about a week ago. We got the truck Dec. 29th 06 I think after about a 9 week wait. My wife was very specific as to what she wanted and turned one down that came in earlier. That little blunder cost as $250 as the Toyota raised the cost of the FJ in the mean time. Oh well the wife is happy and so I am Happy

We should probably take this with a grain of salt since Nate got several different answers when he tried a few months ago, but the fact that I got this answer so close to the ship date may be a good sign.
Mine better be stick-shift ;-)
