I have a loud clack and I'm going to pull my valve cover this weekend and readjust them but I wanted to post a vid to get your opinions. Does it sound like rockers?

I had an 86 4Runner 22re that had a couple loose or tired rocker arms that sounded exactly like that

 

oh yeah.. may even be a little timing chain noise in there.. hard to tell
is that your new motor?

 

Yeah, it's the new motor with metal chain guides. I took it to the dealer awhile back but I thnk they had some kid do the adjustment. They sounded the same when I got it back.

 

both of my 22R's click. They're tired at almost 200k miles on each. If it gets so loud it bugs you, then theres something gettin tired in the rocker assembly.

Other than that i think they all have some noticeable clicking?

 

Thats just a tad more clickiness than on my 3.0

 

I know they all make noise but this is alot. I just worked on a guy at works 22re and it was almost silent compared to mine. It wasn't this loud before the engine was rebuilt.

 

Its worth pulling the valve cover, and checking the clearances.
