Release pressure for fuel filter replacement help

Tried to replace my fuel filter today. However, how hard I tried both of the bolts from the filter line did not budge at all. Yes, I did sprayed a lot of PB blaster, take off the gas cap, and use the crow wrench. Now the question is can I pull the EFI fuse in the fuse box and run it until the truck is dying to release all the built up pressure ? My truck is 00SR5 with 93K. Please help. Thanks

taking the gas cap off usually lets the pressure out.

I didn't pull the fuse when I changed mine, just unscrewed the gas cap. But you can pull the fuse also, some do. Keep trying, they'll loosen.

taking off the gas cap will only realease some of the pressure, it will likely spray a little bit and drip when your first break the fittings loose. Remember to not turn the key on with the lines off, it will be messy. I would try using a flare nut wrench, eat your wheaties too.

Keep spraying it every day for week with PB.....it will eventually loosen.
It helps alot to give the penetrant time to work.

need to take off cap for siphonage to stop. I have never had to replace my filter but if it is inline filter, use a flare nut wrench to avoid stripping. For the filter that has banjo bolt, use impact wrench to break it loose.

You can also try the tabasco route!

Here's the writeup anyway:
