Fender Flares - Thai vendor

Has anyone heard of this vendor from Thailand?

Anyone bought a set of flares?

Are they any good?

The feedback seems good. So are the prices, even with shipping.

I got some of the "large" ones (your last linky) for my 1990 xtracab.

They are fiberglass.

I got them to cover up some rust in the front fender and I'm happy overall.

cons/weaknesses: They don't fit exact flush to the body but are easy to file down to bring them closer. The lip that projects into the fenderwell is quite narrow. You cannot retain your old stock mudflaps without some major redoing (I just took mine off).

Pros: Cheap, tough, paintable. The guy shipped them really fast, well packed (boxes said 12 beercheng

I can try to post some photos if you're interested. I just slapped them on, and I'm sure someone with more patience could make them fit up pretty sano.

They look like a pretty good deal. Please post some pics. How long for shipping?

Thanks!

IIRC got them in less than 3 weeks.

I'll take some pics this weekend and post them early next week. I just have to find the digital camera - the kids use it sometimes and apparently "not me" has it.

Wow, they look good to me! This is the first picture of them installed on a descent looking truck. I only see them on old farmtrucks over here in Thailand. I am the Canadian "Thai Vendor" that sells these flares. I still have a few styles available. Just do an ebay search for seller: blakegeee
Thanks for the photos! Good luck bidding, or send me an email if you want to buy privately.

Fender flare fit

Blakegee- My name is Daniel and I just purchased some flares from you and I just emailed you as well about a crack on the front passenger side flare. I was also a little worried about the fit of the flares. I was fitting the flare the other day and it doesn't seem to reach to the stock fender holes so I was wondering if you knew the best way to connect them. As of now I am set on returning them so I wanted to contact you before the seven days was up.

Fender flares

Yes I emailed him also and was interested in more pics.
He sent me a few but I was concerned with if they were compatable with trucks that have the factory running boards...which looks like it could be done with some customizing. Seems some are reporting a less then perfect fit, especially one customer who left - feedback.

I have a set of these for sale that are used and will need to be refinished. One of them has a very small crack (that would be easy to fix) under where they bolt into the wheel wall. Here the are. If anyone is interested let me know $100US plus shipping:

Those "Large Size" flares that the pics have been posted for will not mate up well with a 4runner. Actually, the front flares should be perfect but not the rear flares. I also do have flares available for 90-95 4runner though. Heres the link to my auctions on ebay. http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZblakegeeeQQhtZ-1
I don't get on here a lot so please send me an email if anybody has an questions or concerns. blakegeee@hotmail.com

The 4runner flares do fit with factory running boards.

Also, I have sent "dwiegand" a replacement flare for the one that was damaged during shipping. He said he will be reporting back here to confirm later.

Actually, nope. They took a while to get here (5+ weeks), though I'm sure that wasn't you're fault. I mocked them up a while ago and I'm really interested to see how they fit, just haven't had the time to mess with them yet. I might go out today and try to fit them up. I'll report back.

I installed all four flares including the one that was cracked during shipping and they look great but Im thinkin about painting them to match the truck which i think will look quite a bit better. The mud flaps are tough to fit in the front with 31's so if anyone has any ideas let me know. The back has great coverage and I haven't been getting any mud past the back with the wider tires. I have also found a couple more smaller cracks that Im not sure how they happened if it was shipping or during install but I was wondering if there is any way you know of Blake or anyone else to fix the smaller cracks. Im planing on painting over and my uncle also works with fiberglass truck caps and has taken a course on fiber glass patch kits so Ill see if I can pick his brain too. Ill keep you informed. Buy the way just to let you know, as of today I have not received the final flare that I believe you said you sent to me already. Just to let you know.

I imagine you must have received that repacement flare by now dwiegand? Also, just to let people know, I now only sell ABS flares so we shouldn't have any occassional inconsistancies with fit anymore, or cracking. Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience you had with the one flare getting damaged during transit, and then an obviously late delivery on the replacement. Gotta love USPS!
