so time for the front diff






got the hubs , calipers , .. basically down to the axles .

man !! I hate this cleaning stuff ... but almost done .

this is before .. and you all know how the knuckles , and everything is .. coated!!!





so knuckles , shields and mostly everything else are clean ...








hopefully tomorrow .. I will get some "black" on them

why is it that toyota put that there? what purpose does that bar serve on an axle that gets used less than half of the time?

drivability on road .. and spring wrap in 4WD .

this unit is basically a " stock type " mall princess ... i'm building it for my son's 16th B-day .. but he'll probabally get my old truck

thanks ... wish I could have taken more pics .

no , i'm going to stay with the original rears I think ? .. or I was thinking maybe rear disc brakes .... havent decided .

I was talking to a buddy that just did the fronts , and he has had no issues , no problems , and it stops much better the stock .. so I might just stay with those .

so started the "clean up" today .. only a couple of hours , but got it ready to assemble tomorrow .

here is where I started ..









got it all torn apart , and the old rotor off ..

New vented rotor





and everything cleaned , painted .. and cleared .







now ready to assemble .
