Now that I have Google+ on my PC and the Droid, it has voice/video chat you can use with the PC.

My laptop has one built into it, but I hardly use the laptop anymore, and I would like to get a nice webcam for the PC.

Microsoft HD cams are very sweet and smooth.. only downfall to webcams is that the quality is based off your internet connection not the cam it self.. hope this helps...

 

I use a logitech C510 and highly recommend it. I actually own 2, one for desktop and one to replace the one on my laptop. 720P, very nice video with skype and xsplit(streaming). Audio is great, I use it for gaming with my old Sennheiser HD500s(my mic comes in better than my friends ~$250 headset). I heard bad things about audio with the C310 but can't confirm or deny it.

A little late here, but I got an MS LifeCam HD-5000 on sale for $30 @ Office Depot last week. Not sure if they still have the deal going. Whichever you get, check for Skype compatibility.
