Ian, try a search here.
http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums...hp?forumid=249
You have to tell the search engine to search UT 2004 forums though, as it will try to search all of Atari's games.

You might try joining that forum too, and post this.
I have never seen that before.

Ian, we are testing out the Teamspeak right now as I type.
Join in and chat.
Andy and one of the guy's who plays Counterstrike is in right now.

Also see this post from me in the PC tips post.
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/show...8&postcount=37

I always turn off that stuff before gaming.
Also make sure you have the lastest vid card drivers.
Do not install new ones over old one.
You must uninstall old ones first, reboot, then exe the new ones.

Just type in Andys IP to join the voice chat.
64.246.174.203

Steve, sorry you can not join us.
Have fun.

Sorry you missed out.
The server had many drop by on Saturday, and Saturday night as well.

Andy worked hard on configging Counter Strike Source a lot during the day, so he was taking a siesta part of Saturday night, his girl friend (Karen) and I played from 8 PM to around 9:40 PM.

A few names dropped by I had not seen before, and one guy was from Milan.
He kicked my butt, he was jumping around so much I could not get a lock on him most of the time.

Also Paris Hilton dropped by

Actually that is Karen, just the name she was using.
That was her running with the flag back to our base to score with red instagib shock beams trying to cut her down.

Boy's, she is a force to be reckoned with, so you better start practicing.
Hope to see her on the server again next weekend.

Bump for Friday night...
Some guy/kid who is on my Xfire list wants to play Friday night too.
He is from Toronto.

He bugs me whenever he sees me on Xfire.
You can tell when I am in the game, as it will show me logged in on Xfire.

I will try to be one a little after 6 PM if I get home and showered up by then.
If not, it will be between 7 and 8 PM PST.

Saturday I am open anytime, off and on the PC most of the day, and will play Saturday night too.

Hope to see you in the game.
Teamspeak has been running great too.

Not sure of Andy's girlfriends (Karen) work schedule, but she should be playing some time this weekend too.

I will set up a channel called UT 2004 in Teamspeak also, as by default there is one channel, and there may be a ton on tonight from Andy's other games.
It gets pretty confusing with 3 different games going and everyone being able to hear each other from different games.

So after you fire up Teamspeak, look for the channel UT 2004.

If you have Teamspeak, use the UT channel when joining.

Ian, I hear Karen kicked you arse
She is pretty good is she not?

The server we play on is already sold, so I am not sure how much longer it will be working.

Andy if working on reinstalling Counter Strike Source on his main server, then later in the week he will try to get UT added to it.
I hope it gets done this week so I can put stuff back in again so we can play next weekend.

Karen should be on after 6 PM PST, that is if the server is still up.

I am going to try to load some mods too for the game which will enhance the visibility and more.
It is called UT Comps.
I can not find a link now as to all what is does.

PS, anyone wanting this game should jump on this $10 deal.

Ooops...

UT 2004 is now dead in the water, sorry, the server # 2 has been sold!
I do not have a time estimate as to when the game will be reinstalled on server # 1 as Andy is still configging CSS, it is a very intensive setup and takes hours.
He has been working on it for hours today.

Hopefully UT will be up before the weekend is over, and I did try out the UT Comps mutator and it rocks.
Here is a vid under 5 MB showing off some of the things the mutator can do.
http://www.pnw4runners.com/index.php...mp_mutator.wmv
Two of the cool features is called Bright Skins which makes players show up better in dark scenes, and the other one is called hit sounds.
When you take out an enemy, you hear a pop sound.
You can enable or disable all of these settings by hitting the F5 key while in the game.

I am not sure if you need to install the mutator files or not on your end, I will have to have some feedback from some of you once we get up and running again.
If you need to install it too, I will upload it to my 4runner server and you put the unzipped files in the UT 2004 folder and let the two yellow folders overwrite the current ones.

Here is the help file though to show you what the mutator can do.

Erase it from your faves, as someone else now owns the server, and I would imagine it has Linux on it and has been formatted, plus the IP is gone.

We will try to get UT up today, and the IP will be the same as Counter Strike in the other post in this section.
It may not be done today though, this stuff takes time.

Me puss out...
No way, it is just Sci Fi Fridays 3 hour lineup takes 1st place over anything else

We are up and running...

We be rockin'
I set up this game all by myself on Andy's server, was not to hard.
He was bushed from getting Counter Strike all setup, so I tried my hand at this.

I added a very cool map I found by a guy who made his very first one called Lea.
It is designed for "one on one" matches, but plays very well for teams too.

Also I added the UT Comp mutator which adds bright skins and hit sounds.
More info on where to download the required 12 mb Lea map from and info on the help file for the UT Comp mutator can be found on my UT 2004 page.

The new IP for the game is:
63.34.33.204:7777

I think this server is better also, the IP goes through a different host than the old server.

Could someone here who has the game do me a big favor?
Log into the game and see if the server gives you the UT Comp mutator or not.
If not, I need to edit an ini file, or each person would have to download the mutator and install it themselves.

I would do this, but I already have the mutator installed on my PC as I tested it out yesterday to see if it was worth putting on the server, and it is

PS, here is a deal on UT for $9.90
http://www.gogamer.com/cgi-bin/Gogam...521&PID=603315

Newegg has it for around $10 too I hear.

Putz, nice playing with you tonight for a bit.
That other guy in the game is a pro at the game, I hardly got him at all.

He mainly plays Counter Strike Source with Andy the server owner, but plays UT 2004 once in awhile.

You gotta get Teamspeak though, we were talking the whole time during the game.
The link is on my UT page in my sig.
