Well, we are on a great fast server, give it a try if you get the game.

I remember the days of playing FPS games on 28.8k, then 56k, it was not all that bad, but that was years ago, and the games were not as advanced as UT is.

Not as cheap...

I have the Editors Choice DVD version.
I did have the 5 CD install kit listed on the bottom, but swapped it for the DVD version with a forum member.

Both are still good deals at that price.
It was a $50 or $60 game when it came out two springs ago.

Less pain in the ass
With the CDs you have to swap them out for the install.
With the DVD one, it is all done in one shot.

Either method it puts all files on your PC, no need to have disc in to play.
My UT 2004 folder is 7.87 GB big, compared to 761 MB for the original UT.
The newer game offers so much more.

By the way, if you get the DVD one, do not install the 2nd DVD with the Editors Choice stuff.
It is not to be confused with the Editors Choice Bonus pack, but it is a pack of mods, and they change the game play quite a bit.

It is not needed to play what Andy and I are hosting on the server.
You still need to install all three bonus packs and the 3355 update listed in my sig.
