Thumbs down Spam-a-thon Email series 1

I receive my usually daily barrage of spam email. Every thousand or so one ketches me eye. I found it funny reading out loud with both an East Indian or Dutch accent. Please don't contact me regarding the email. It's as enteraining to the other thousands who received it.

I recieved the following spam email from (myw-stp-66-18-83-2.sentechsa.net[66.18.83.2](untrusted sender))

Abdul and Chambers
SOLICITORS & ADVOCATES

Email: abdul02@walla.com
Hello Friend,

I am Barrister Abdul Ayman, an attorney at law. This mail is written to solicit your assistance to be presented as next of kin to my deceased client late Mr. Ronald Lake and Joyce Lake. He made a fixed deposit valued US$18.75M, (Eighteen Million, Seventy Five Thousand US Dollars) on May 1998 for 36 months maturity, with an intention of putting up an an Estate here in South Africa and upon the maturity this bank started contacting him but to no avail On 31 January, 2000, my clientele along with his wife died in a plane crash of Alaska Airlines Flight number 261. You shall read more about the crash on visiting this site http://www.cnn.com/2000/US/02/01/alaska.airlines.list/

The Governing Body of the bank has contacted me on this matter, based on the fact that his supposed next of kin, happened to die in the said crash and I am yet to provide any other Next of Kin to lay claim to the fund. Under a clear and legitimate agreement with you.
I shall seek your consent to be presented as the next of Kin, so that the proceeds of this account now valued US$20 million, will be paid to you, so that the Bank will not confiscate this fund, as the banking law and guidelines here stipulates that if such money remained unclaimed after four years, the money will be transferred into the bank treasury as unclaimed fund For the sake of transparency on this matter, you are free to make immediate contact with me through my mailbox , for further information related to this matter.

Thank you very much for your anticipated acceptance while I expect your prompt response to include your full name, private phone and fax number via my private mail: abdul02@walla.com (NOTE, THIS IS THE ONLY BOX I CAN USE TO RESPOND BACK TO YOU IF REALY YOU ARE INTERESTED).

Yours faithfully,
Barrister Abdul Ayman

where's option 5? Write him back as quickly as possible, providing all your personal info! Start picking out a yacht. That's what I do every time, so far it hasn't worked out but one of these times it will I'm sure. Mind if I respond to this guy for you?

"Eighteen Million, Seventy Five Thousand US Dollars"

Shouldn't that be "Eighteen Million, Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand US Dollars"?

Technically no. 275 is suppose to be read Two Hundred, Seventy Five.

I haven't gotten a email like that since last winter. I would always email them back, asking more questions and not giving any answers. This would go on for about a week. Then I would inform them that I would be getting all my information ready to fax/mail/email to them via my lawyer, and please email him with the proper contact information.
Unfortunatley, it nevers goes past that.

$18.75

Eighteen Million Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars! And yes, the airplane will fly darn it!

Anyways, I have gotten THE EXACT same e-mail before. I told the guy I was interested and he responded back saying he need my personal info. Then I asked him politely if we could use another form of transferring money rather than his one. He never got back to me.
