Need free software?

Who does not if they do not have the funds to buy Photoshop of Microsoft Office.

No, I am not talking about pirated software, I am yakkin ' about substitute programs that do the same thing.

See c/nets website for info on software for work, tunes, and more.

A few listed there I have heard of before.
A video will start playing too, and if you live in an apartment like I do, you might want to turn down the sub woofer.
It came on loud here at 6 am, and I know the neighbors downstairs are still asleep.
Had to scamble for the mute button on my keyboard real fast

Right on
What the point of useful software if it isn't cracked copys. I've toyed with freeware but there's a reason it's free.
I used to buy software as a moril imperitive but I found out what a pain in the A it is. after 2-3 years the companys quit supporting it and or they only let you register once. So if your system goes belly up it's damn near imposable to get your legit copy that you paid for working and up to date again. after that 2-3 year period forget about it. The only exception To this is good anti adware and antviruse software. everything else is cracked software.
MS 2000 with SR-1 crack. photoshop 7 cracked stopmotion 4 cracked and dozens more.

Another useless post brough to by the letter m

Ya, real smart dude. Not only are you admitting to pirating copyrighted software, you're even listing WHAT you're pirating. Keep in mind that there's lots of people on this board who work for these companies who are more than willing to turn you in. And then there's the fact that this is a public site that is hit by just about every search engine out there making this information you've revealed very easy to find.

It is not difficult at all to reinstall your legal software and get it updated, even titles that require "activation". If it won't let you do it online because you've done it too many times, a quick toll-free phone call gets you a new key. You don't have to give out any personal info, it's quite painless really. This is coming from a guy in the IT industry who deals with this stuff all day every day. I've played around with these "cracks" and most of them include stuff that you don't want, like viruses and backdoor programs that open your computer up to intruders.

you must not own adobe software. It doen't matter if I'm listing what I've pirated. If they were watching be I'd already have been caught. So far the people who have been cuaght reside on college campuses were they catch hundreds at a time.
The quick phone call is BS. I took 4 hours to get another key for adobe photoshop and still didn't work. 5 hours to get another for XP. XP is legal copy still since my system hasn't gone bonkers yet but the photoshop is. Microsoft woun't give up a key for office 2000 sine its no longer uported so cracked copy there. Microsoft still lets you download the patches but its been anounced that next year the info is going to be removed from the server.
So from now on I'll retort to my previouse statment. Only using cracked copys except for the esentals.
I still have 100's of dollars of useless software that can't be installed becuase it's outdated. over 3 years old. Patronize all you want about morals and getting cuaght, whatever. If it happens whoops if not cool.

I've replaced MS Office with openoffice about two months ago (http://www.openoffice.org/). I've been very impressed with that free package. No it is not exactly MS Office, but I does more than 95% of the people need. I have not come accross any things it couldn't do. It imports excel and word files perfectly. I just had a minor issue with printing. You have to select what you want to print, and it didn't interpret the print areas properly.
Openoffice is also available for linux, and I now can do most of my bookkeeping (I set up and excel spreadsheet at the time) on my linux machine.
There are more examples of good free software. I wish more people would give it their support and the time of day it deserves. Maybe Microsoft and other companies would become more considerate of their customers and not put that activation system in their software. I refuse to buy anything with the activation system, because I reinstall windows quite regularly.
